Shared Ride Transportation Program for Senior Citizens age 65 and older

FIND MY RIDE APPLY TO RIDE

The Senior Shared Ride Program is a reduced fare transportation program available to riders who are willing to share their trip with other passengers. Persons 65 years of age or older are entitled to receive these trips and pay only 15% of the reduced shared ride fares. Funds from the Pennsylvania Lottery pay for the remaining 85% of trip fares through a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. YOU AUTOMATICALLY QUALIFY TO RIDE IF YOU ARE OVER 65 and OLDER.

Once you are registered with Community Transit, you are eligible to ride as long as:

  • You are willing to share the ride with other passengers who may be traveling in a similar direction.
  • As you are sharing the ride with others, our driver may arrive 15 minutes before or up to 30 minutes after your scheduled pick up time.

Transportation is available for any trip purpose on a first come, first served basis. Trips must originate within Delaware County, and we can transport you anywhere within Delaware County. However, out of county trips to destinations such as Philadelphia, Lankenau Hospital, etc. are available on a more limited basis. Community Transit reserves the right to deny a trip request when it cannot be combined with other trips.
